Jersey's Bar has been a cornerstone of Junction City long before it had its current name. It all started in 1968, when the Tankard Tavern first opened its doors with a simple but powerful mission: to give hardworking neighbors a place to gather, unwind, and feel at home.

That spirit of community and affordability became the foundation of everything this bar stands for. Over the decades, the name changed, the faces behind the bar changed, but the people of Junction City never stopped calling it home.

Now, under new ownership since March 2026, Jersey's is stepping into its most exciting era yet. The legendary broasted chicken is still here. The cold drinks are still here. The familiar faces are still here. And a few new things have found their way in, too: hand-rolled taquitos that locals are obsessed with, hand-dipped fish and chips, daily food specials, Saturday night karaoke, and a kitchen that takes bar food seriously.

We're not trying to reinvent Jersey's. We're trying to give it back to the people it was always meant for.
